Whats a good way to suggest a teeth bleaching product to someone with teeth that look like kernels of corn?

play on his insecurities. ask him if those yellow teeth come with any special powers, like the ability to spit butter.

If he%26#039;s black, tell him that when he smiles, he looks like he%26#039;s wearing a pittsburgh steelers helmet.

Either that or just let the man be. A lot of times yellow teeth are a sympton of never having been taught to take proper care of your teeth. Just try to teach your own kids to take care of their teeth, it%26#039;s easier to mold the habbits of a child then to change the habbits of a man.

Ask them if they ever had a teeth bleaching. If they say %26#039;no%26#039;, say %26quot;I thought not%26quot;.
Reply:Corn, or maise as the native South Americans would have it, is the staple diet of many rural communities throughout the world. I think you have your answer.

Has anyone used those teeth bleaching kits from ebay? do they work?

Not sure which bleaching kit you are talking about. Crest Whitestrips (sold in stores) are very good - Your teeth may become sensitive - all bleaching methods can cause this - If so - discontinue using the bleach or try a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.

Has anyone used those teeth bleaching kits from ebay? do they work?
U can also try using ur normal toothpaste topped with some baking soda. Since the ingredent in %26quot;whiting%26quot; toothpastes is baking soda. For me, it works, and it doesn%26#039;t make my teeth sensitive, plus, if u want them whiter, just use a greater amount of baking soda when u brush, or only use baking soda and no toothpaste to brush.

I hope this helps.
Reply:The ones with the mouth trays? I%26#039;ve tried two kinds, didn%26#039;t work. I didn%26#039;t feel anything nor see any difference. Just wasted money and time. But the ones I got from the dentist worked. Same ind of mouth trays but different gels. Crest strips works really well on me. But I would save my money from the generic stuff they sell on Ebay. Most of them seem like homemade or outdated or just ineffective. Good luck!

How much do teeth bleaching procedures at the dentist office generally cost?
mine cost $300 but that was about 6 years ago - that included the mold, custom-made trays, and bleaching gel. it might be more affordable now. but try the crest strips first... they might do the trick. and no, definitely not covered by insurance.
Reply:.Don%26#039;t know but i would like to know that answer too.

Anybody tried any teeth bleaching products?

Which brand and what did you think? I bought a cheaper brand that helped a little, but I don%26#039;t look like the girl on the box. I am outraged.

Anybody tried any teeth bleaching products?
The strips remove layers of enamel on your teeth, so they might feel more sensetive as a result. I tried the colgate gel but that doesn%26#039;t even work in practice. It rubs off on your lips and gums and makes them feel weird. The listerine rinse leaves a weird feeling in the back of your throat and taste horrible. Really the only thing that will work is getting laser treatment at the dentist. It%26#039;s expensive but gives you the result you want and probably won%26#039;t leave your mouth feeling or tasting weird.
Reply:crest whitestrips....it was gross and made my teeth very sensitive to hot and cold...but it whitened my teeth nonetheless.
Reply:Whenevr i need a nice bright smile, i use rembrandt two hour white. It does make my teeth extremely, ridiculously white, but it also irritates my gums a little. It was only 20.00 so I do get my moneys worth out of it.
Reply:Use crest whitestrips along with Vivid White toothpaste, the results are almost unbelievably white together.
Reply:try listerine white mouth wash. it works great!!!
Reply:It%26#039;s sooo funny. I was just thinking about this this morning and if someone were to ask it on Answers!

Anyway, I%26#039;ve heard alot about Crest Whitestrips, either because it really works or because the Crest people have been pimping it really hard on us.

I use toothpastes, like Crest Luminous, it strengthened enamel and whitens or Colgate Total with Whitening, it leaves a glossy feeling on your teeth for hours.

I would make an appointment to your local dentist and have something like that professionally done.

Instant teeth bleaching? i want to instantly whiten and brighten my teeth..how can i do that?
Hello. My teenage daughter proved this works. Make a paste of baking soda and peroxide, brush on front teeth and try not to brush it on your gums. Do not swallow and make sure you rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. She only waited a minute if that, and had instant results.
Reply:You can use teeth whitening product.

Is teeth-bleaching recommended during pregnancy?

Your dentist should be able to tell you better, but it should be ok. Most whitening strips are just a form of hydrogen peroxide that lifts and bleaches the stains off your teeth. When hydrogen peroxide breaks down, it just becomes water and oxygen. All the same, I%26#039;d check with your dentist to be sure.

Is teeth-bleaching recommended during pregnancy?
My dentist said absolutely not recommended and he wouldn%26#039;t do it. Why take the chance?

How can I drink coffee & soda right after bleaching my teeth without staining?

I know its a silly question but the reason my fangs are so yellow in the first place is because I LOVE coffee and my diet-coke. I drink about a pot and a half of coffee a day. (over 8 to 12 hour period at work) No way can I cut out coffee for 24-48 hours after bleaching as recommended. I%26#039;ve heard the reason for no dark foods is because the teeth are porous after bleaching. Is there any way I can fill in the pores with something? A good coating of sealant maybe? lol. Seriously? I like to taste the coffee on my palette. Straws kill the sensation. I guess I%26#039;m a coffee-snob. Please help.

How can I drink coffee %26amp; soda right after bleaching my teeth without staining?
You can%26#039;t, or you%26#039;ll be throwing away the money you spent to have your teeth whitened. Teeth are dehydrated after whitening, not more porous. When saliva touches them and when you drink or eat something, the teeth soak up the moisture over the first 24-48 hours, and the color of whatever those things contain. If you received custom-made whitening trays from your dentist after your whitening, you can put those on to have a SMALL AMOUNT of what you crave. Otherwise, I would try to forget about it, or expect your teeth shade to relapse. I hope this helps.
Reply:Carefully wrap your entire head in waxed paper...or!?????? follow the directions that came with the teeth bleach....geeeezzzzz lmao
Reply:I%26#039;ve heard that lots of celebrities drink soda and coffee only if they have a straw. Maybe you could try that? That way your smile won%26#039;t be damaged and you can keep drinking.
Reply:you can%26#039;t...prolonged drinking of coffe tea soda, etc will always dis-color the teeth

enjoy the white while you can...I am in the same boat,,can not

live without my cofee and diet dr pepper

i don%26#039;t do straws either

best of luck

Reply:Other than avoiding it there really is no way. A straw is the next best thing....other than that??? If you can%26#039;t resist, try drinking water inbetween every drink of coffee or soda.

Teeth bleaching ... Yay or Nay?

Depends on you really. But here are the points to consider:

1) Bleaching makes your teeth very sensitive, occasionally you need to leave off the bleaching for a few days to let the sensitivity wear off.

2) If you have crowns/ bridges or veneers at the front it will not bleach those

3) Tea/ coffee/ red wine and spicy food stains your teeth, so anything you eat or drink will stain them again.

4) If your diet includes lots of the above then the affects of the bleaching could only last 6mths to a year.

Teeth bleaching ... Yay or Nay?
Pros and Cons of Tooth Whitening

Advantages:

People typically have a tooth whitened to improve their appearance. Teeth that are all of the same bright color are associated with beauty and a healthier lifestyle. When people have a brighter smile, they tend to smile more often and are less self-conscious.

In addition, a whiter smile tends to minimize the appearance of facial wrinkles, giving way to a more youthful and energetic appearance.

Finally, a whiter smile gives people to whom you are speaking a place to focus on and gives you a friendlier appearance.

Disadvantages:

Although tooth bleaching is very effective, there can be short term disadvantages, such as sore gums or tooth from the bleach. This disappears when bleach use is discontinued. Some individuals are more chemically sensitive. If you are one of them, inform your cosmetic dentist so that you can be tested for sensitivity to the solution.

Research indicates that tooth bleaching is completely effective in more than 78% of people. In cases of serious tooth discoloration, bleaching may not be the best choice. Veneers or crowns may be the superior choice. Bleaching is usually the first solution to try due to its lower cost.
Reply:Done by a dentist, it works very well

The little DIY kits don%26#039;t work so well..
Reply:Had mine done with laser light as the over night gum things where poo. It worked very well my incisors where starting to lose the fight against red wine and had signs of the bad old days when i smoked. now they match the rest and look clean and new. I still smile at them every day :-)

Did hurt a little though but only for an hour or two.
Reply:If you really want to. The home kits are pretty rubbish though.

My 7 year old niece moaned to the dentist that her teeth weren%26#039;t white. The dentist tried to sell a full bleaching session to her! her mother was NOT impressed!
Reply:Not recommended, really. Any teeth whitening - no matter, which way - weakens your enamel (the very external part of the tooth), flushing the minerals out.
Reply:NAY

What are the side-effects of bleaching your teeth with a kit purchased from the drug store?

Does home-bleaching really harm your teeth? And if it does, how can I reverse the effects?

What are the side-effects of bleaching your teeth with a kit purchased from the drug store?
It doesn%26#039;t harm your teeth. My son spoke with dentist and he recommended the home kits as he said they work just as good as the trays from a dentist office and very much less expensive.

The only side effect I know of is your gums may be sensitive for a couple of days but it goes away.

So im bleaching my teeth......?

i get really bad tooth aches and it gives me headaches.... i cant stop bleaching my teeth cuz i need them white by thanksgiving... what can i take for it that will not make it worse... and i really dont want to drink.... any suggestions?

So im bleaching my teeth......?
It depends on what you%26#039;re using to bleach your teeth with. Some bleaching compounds prescribed by dentists will cause your teeth to become sensitive if used too often. I suggest switching to Sensodyne toothpaste, cut back on coffee and/or cola to minimize staining and cut back on the number of times you bleach your teeth. At most you should only be doing so once a day or every other day.
Reply:anything you use to get your teeth white will make them sensitive. your dentist can do this is an hour long session so you don%26#039;t have to continually do it. it last for about 1 yr depending on your habits. if you can%26#039;t afford that, try crest white strips premium, they work in like 3 days.
Reply:sometimes carefree kolerz helps a bit, you might want to try only whitening every other day.
Reply:There is nothing u can really do for the sensitivity....The Bleach is probably really strong. I used to bleach my teeth and everytime my mouth was open and the air hit them they would hurt really bad...U might want to ask ur dentist for something that isnt as strong as the one ur using. Good luck!

I've been bleaching my teeth. Why am I getting white spots on my teeth?

I%26#039;ve been using the dentist tray-bleaching kit. It%26#039;s making my teeth whiter, but I%26#039;m also getting spots of very white areas on my teeth.

I%26#039;ve been bleaching my teeth. Why am I getting white spots on my teeth?
This is not an uncommon phenomenon with whitening and is usually temporary. It generally happens because the tooth becomes a bit dehydrated (which is a normal part of the process) and the spots will usually go away once the tooth has been fully rehydrated. I would suggest using the trays as recommended or every other day and see how you react. Also, do not brush your teeth before you put them on and no dark foods or drinks for 1/2 hour after. When you do brush use a fluoride toothpaste.

Hope that helps- Good luck.

Reply:maybe u have done damage to the natural enamel on your teeth. chk with a dentist.
Reply:eww! Sounds gross. You should probably talk to your dentist about this... because you could be damaging your teeth.

Does the package say anything about this in the Warnings section?
Reply:i think this is because the enamel isn%26#039;t as thick in those places.....so the bleaching chemicals are saturating your teeth more.....i don%26#039;t believe this is cause for concern though...if your teeth get sensitive or painful, call your dentist
Reply:You are bleaching too much. The teeth enamel is corroding. Very soon your teeth will be sensitve to cold and hot food and they will begin to turn bluish gray. See your dentist.
Reply:This is probably caused by a weakening in your enamel in some areas of whitening. This is called hypocalcification, or the minerals being leached out of your tooth surface. You should see your dentist about it, as well as make sure you are using a toothpaste with flouride added to it.

One other thing it might be is sometimes areas of fluorisis (caused by excess deposits of fluoride when your teeth were forming) that were already whiter than the rest of the tooth are more noticeable as they are whitened. If this is the case, the bleaching isn%26#039;t doing any damage, and it%26#039;s up to you if you want to continue bleaching.
Reply:sounds like there were white spots on your teeth to begin with, but they weren%26#039;t as noticeable before.

or

the bleaching trays you are using are concentrating the whitening agent in certain areas.

try applying less in those spots and more on areas around them.

sorry for all the typo%26#039;s...i have like 5 people talking to me on aim...LOL

Does bleaching your teeth remove......?
It%26#039;s not really that getting them cleaned will make your teeth white but it might make it easier for you to bleech them. What kind of bleech are you using on your teeth? What brand? There was a type of bleech I used for the first time after I got my braces off. They were fantastic! I think they were Winterfresh strips of bleech or something like that. Well a year later I wanted them even whiter so I tried another brand it was cheaper..I think equate...yeah and they sucked! lol they did the same thing that your teeth are experiencing..so it might be the brand you are using...not your teeth. Let me know what you are using and maybe I could help answer your question better? =]
Reply:Nope, it doesn%26#039;t. Plaque build-up can only be removed by scraping.
Reply:Bleaching does not remove plaque. You may need your teeth cleaned or you may have stains inside your teeth that are deeper than the bleach can work.
Reply:no it can%26#039;t plaqe can not be be removed by that only from scraping

also it is not just about bleaching ur teeth u have to brush them like every tome u eat and u have to floss and take really good care of them

Does bleaching your teeth remove......?
No, bleaching does not remove plaque or calculus/tartar(hardened plaque). So, if these things are on your teeth it can leave uneven whiteness. However, the teeth are diffent thicknesses also, so it can be normal unevenness too.
Reply:If will remove plaque but not calculus (tartar). You may have some calcium stains on your teeth too. These would appear white and would bleach too but make your teeth appear to be different colored or spotted.

Your not the only one who has not had a cleaning in a while but chew on this: plague is bugs, tartar is bug poop and gingivitis is an infection in your gums and that%26#039;s what you eat everytime you eat! Yum, Yum!
